Ah! So excited! One of my favorite books, The Overachievers: the Secret Lives of Driven Kids, by Alexandra Robbins, might be made into a movie. It was just announced a few days ago that Universal Pictures has optioned the book.

The Overachievers is seriously one of the best books I’ve read, and probably on one of the most important topics for people our age. Robbins discusses the crazy pressure on young people to do well in school and to get into a good college. She also offers important tips and suggestions to keep from going crazy or cracking under the pressure in high school. Robbins even discusses that it’s not particuarly important to go to a name brand school, because the educations available at smaller or lesser known colleges can be just as good, if not better.
