I just saw two really great movies.
The Waitress:
A strong, yet hardened women living in a small town has an amazing talent and passion for making pies. She has an abusive emotionally and a little bit physically husband, and her hard life has hardened her, so does not help that![]()
she finds out she’s pregnant. This is such a brilliant story but tragic because one of the supporting actresses, (she played the not as attractive and not as confident friend,) wrote and directed the movie. She lived in New York, and one day in her apartment there was construction going on, and she complained about the noise to this worker, and he killed her!!!!!!
Anyways, the movie was so amazing. It was hysterical and just truly a work of art.
second movie: The Namesake
This movie started out with probably a 23 yr. old young man, who lives in India, and was on a train that crashed. It then fast forwards 2-3 years when a young Indian girl is being set up to marry him, and move from India to New York, where she knows no one. The movie covers their lives from that point, to them falling in love, to them being pregnant and having kids, to their kids getting married. It’s complete culture clash. It honestly made me want to move to India!
India is the country of peace. It is just so amazing to see the difference in lives-and really-the similarities. The only problem with the movie is that it was a bit long. I recommend it!
