…I wanted to share how proud I am of Jamia, who is not able to blog right now, because she just moved into her new apartment! Jamia just left her job at Young People For to take a job as the activities director for an NYU dorm (where she lives, in a totally amazing part of Greenwich Village. It’s okay to be very public about our jealousy of that one). She’s handling the transition very well, and we’re all very proud of her!

And… be sure to send your good thoughts and wishes to Kate, who made a birthday wish three days ago for a job for her 22nd birthday. We know she’s going to be the next big thing in journalism… and hopefully hiring editors recognize that.

And while I’m bragging, I also want to mention that my younger sister and high school blogger extrordinarie Allie just got her first job as a Starbucks barista. She made me an iced caramel macchiato the other day that was to die for. Today, Allie lights up peoples’ lives with coffee… tomorrow, it will be with her acting skills.
