I was just hanging out at home, when all of a sudden one of my poems started to come into my head. I think I’ve been to afraid to do this, probably of many things, but show some of my writing. Anyways, here is the poem that started to come into my head, I hope you like it!

Out of reach

Out of reach
I grasp and grasp
but then realize I was reaching
for the wrong thing
guess what,
It’s out of reach
what happends next year
is not in my control
whether she will or may not appear
I don’t think that decision’s in my own soul
but what if I need her
and what if she’s gone
but what if the thing I have relied on,
been comforted by,
refuses to show up
for far to long?
I guess those big gruff men
in those big gray scary suits
with their lavendar shirts tucked in
will decide the fate of everyone,
whether to or not to win
they’ll ponder, pitter potter
who seems like a perfect fit
but seems is in bold
big black bulls@&t
but every once in a while,
they’ll miss the right one
guess what,
she’s out of reach
But it’s not a win I’m asking for
just a little bit of help
maybe a warm hand
right next to mine
for she will help me cope
out of reach
i grasp and grasp
and i realize i’m not in control
out of reach
i will, i plead,
but guess what,
it’s out of reach
for with her hand right next to mine
as we enter those big scary doors
the world begins to soften,
scary no no more
and with her warm hand next to mine,
i can finally reach,
what i’ve been working so hard for
out of reach
i grasp and grasp
for her soft hand next to mine
out of reach
i hope i plead
but guess what, she’s out of reach

i’m really glad that you posted your work. it’s scary to be vulnerable, but it’s somewhat liberating once you do it.
you have a lot of great material to work with here! please please please keep it up.
ever consider freewriting? now THAT is liberating.
