We all know the venerated FDR quote, “I’d rather be bad at something I love than good at something I hate.” One weird thing about me is that I LOVE makeup… even though I totally suck at doing it. My eyeliner is always everywhere: I simply can’t make eyeliner into that thin, swift line right around my eyes… instead I have these thick, jagged smears on my eyelids that get everywhere (I am always rubbing my eyes and stuff).
However, when I was at CVS the other day, I accidentally bought gray eyeliner instead of black and I LOVE IT. It’s a much more subtle look than black eyeliner, and works much better for me because I tend to put on too much eyeliner, so it looks normal rather than goth.
I’ve been using the Maybelline brand, with the sponge applicator. It’s a pair price; I think it’s like seven dollars, and totally worth trying out.
