I’ve been reading and writing a lot of poetry recently than prose. My world has completely turned (in the absolute best way) and I just feel myself more open and willing to explore my thoughts. While taking this road further and deeper, I was introduced to a collection of poems that I truly admire and love.
Ted Hughes’ Crow: From the Life and Songs of the Crow was dropped into my hands by my friend Alex from uni. At first I was a bit hesitant because I’ve read Hughes’ before (he was married to Sylvia Plath) and while I was impressed, nothing truly struck with me.
After reading through several of the poems from Crow (Crow on the Beach, Crow Communes, and Crow’s First Lesson…just to name a few), I found myself quite fond of the crow and intrigued.
I would certainly give it an opportunity.

Explore the world!!! Go head and write your heart out. You’d be surprised at what comes from within. You’re a good writer.
