As someone who is mildly addicted to the reality drama that is “The Hills,” I was so happy when I caught up with the season finale this morning before work. Lauren Conrad, who is actually becoming a TV persona I actually really like, got a second chance at a big career move and she actually took it.

Last season, LC was offered the chance to go to Paris for Teen Vogue and she turned it down for her then-boyfriend, Jason Wahler. Well, her relationship with Wahler failed and she regretted her decision for pretty much an entire season and a half.

Let’s just say that Lauren learned her lesson and on the season finale, she chose to go to Paris with Whitney for Teen Vogue magazine. Also, on a side note, Heidi decided to spend some time away from Spencer and head home.

Honestly, I am really glad that even though Brody and she are in “relationship limbo,” Lauren didn’t let a boy stand in her way of what seems like an amazing career opportunity. Basically, what I’m getting at is this. I’m curious, have you ever found yourself at a crossroads and decided against a something for a boy? I can honestly say I’ve never passed up anything life-changing, but I sure have made some decisions based on the opposite sex. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I want to hear from you!
