So… it is pretty clear to me that many of us have a love/hate relationship with Barbie. Many Women’s Studies classes have led me to think about my relationship to Barbie on deeper levels than I care to even admit. “)
I think the right wing condemnation of the new biker Barbie is a bit much. I would much prefer them pushing Mattel to stop promoting bad body image among young women, but no… they are worried about her so-called racy attire instead.
They have way too much time on their hands…

Barbie is trying to “top” the bratz dolls image—- for sales - of course. This competition could lead to full blown hooker action dolls.
There is also a legal battle going on between these two co.s over the rights to the Bratz doll design. I hope they take each other down with legal fees.
There are so many other dolls with class out there!
