Instead of loathing the return of my beloved (and often uncomfortable and painful) monthly visitor, I have decided to embrace our long-term relationship and track my periods online. I love Mon.thly.info, a website where I am able to track and predict my period and ovulation cycle for free. This site is the best period related thing I have encountered since Are You There God? Its Me Margaret and the Diva Cup. As someone who has a lot of discomfort and hormonal changes during this time, it is going to be really helpful to be able to begin taking painkillers, eating a more healthy diet of leafy greens and taking evening primrose tablets several days ahead of when the bleeding actually starts. I am grateful to the web developer who created this site for us women who want to be able to know when to switch our nice undies to the ratty tried and true “period panties”. I have also selected an option on the site that will allow me to receive a reminder e-mail to let me know when my next period is coming in advance. Moreover, the site tracks trends within your cycle, predicting (after you have been tracking on the site for a few cycles) when your next periods will occur, how long they will last, when you will be oulating, and what menstrual phase you are in. I am really happy to see this site online, and I like even more that it is a free service started by women to help other women. The site has everything I need except for muscle relaxers, dark chocolate, a thermal heating pad, and ginger ale.
