Jamia Wilson
Jamia Wilson, 28, is a progressive activist, NYU grad student, and vintage-loving fashionista. After graduating from American University, Jamia worked for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and PAC. She was honored as one of the "Real Hot 100" for 2006 by the Younger Women's Taskforce. Jamia has also written for Alternet’s Wiretap and Hampshire College’s Civil Liberties and Public Policy Project. She is currently working on a piece for an upcoming anthology about interracial relationships. Most recently, Jamia was selected to serve on the Ms. Foundation Advisory Committee and worked for Young People For. Jamia is currently pursuing an M.A. at NYU and will begin working for NYU’s Residential Education department in July 2007.
