I just found this really amazing site where you answer a set of questions, and they tell you which candidate you should vote for. (Based on which candidates you got the most similar answers too. REALLY COOL!

John Edwards reaches out and embraces US!
September 27th, 2007 · No Comments
So I just turned on my tv, and it went straight to MTV where I saw that Sen. John Edwards was on it. He is doing a live myspace telecast, it’s set up kind of like TRL in that he is surrounded by young people, but it’s political and PROGRESSIVE! There is a good sized […]

dog fighting and domestic abuse, oh my!

Why is it that when a professional athlete assaults his wife or his girlfriend, he gets a slap on the wrist (most of the time) but when onetortures dogs (I realize animals hold different meanings to different people) he is under more public scrutiny and could potentially receive prison time?
According to an article from Sandra […]

Princess Diana
August 31st, 2007 · 2 Comments
On this day exactly 10 years ago, the life of this beautiful 35-year-old princess abruptly ended with a tragic car crash in Paris. I remember sitting at the dining room table with my bowl of Chex as my mom turned on the morning news. There it was. At only 8 years old I knew little […]

Myspace Users Beware
July 26th, 2007 · No Comments
This is seriously distressing: Myspace was recently required by several states to find out how many registered sex offenders have Myspace accounts and the number they found was four times their original data. It’s–wait for it–29,000. Initially, Myspace already had a database registered sex offenders whose profiles they had removed, but it only […]

the ‘r’ word
July 19th, 2007 · No Comments
Growing up, your mother probably taught you to never use the “f” word, but what about the “r” word? I’m talking about rape. While the word certainly conjures up a plethora of mixed feelings, it is certainly not a word that should be banned from anyone’s vocabulary. Now, trying telling this to a Nebraska […]

Gloria Feldt in ELLE
July 17th, 2007 · 1 Comment
I am so excited: ELLE magazine has a huge feature in their August issue on pro-choice politics and why the time to act for reproductive rights is now, appropriately titled “The Incredible Shrinking Woman” (as in, anti-choice politics being infantilizing and lessening the power of women). The feature includes an essay by Gloria Feldt, […]
